Product Description

The USB-C-3A (Ultrathin 8.8mm 10V-28V DIN Rail USB C power supply) is a 10 V to 28V input 3A DIN Rail buck converter providing low ripple constant voltage output for USB C devices. It’s intended use are tight control cabinets, to supply usb devices with voltage. A green power good LED indicates the presence of an output voltage. The device is resilient to typical operating failures: Input reverse polarity, output short circuit, open circuit, moderate input transients and moderate output transients. The device offers solid output current stability over the complete input voltage range. The device may be operated at ambient temperatures between -40°C und 50°C.

Fixed 5 V — no USB-PD negotiation (the datasheet describes a buck converter, no PD controller). Output is 5 V (min 5.0, typ 5.15, max 5.3 V) rated to 3 A total across the USB-C port and the screw terminals. Need 9 V or 12 V PD? Pick the USB-AC-PD or USB-DC-PD.

10–28 V DC. Headline, feature summary and pinout all state 10 V minimum; the Min/Typ/Max spec table conservatively lists 11 V as the guaranteed minimum. Treat the 1 V band between 10 V and 11 V as a margin, not a guarantee.

95 % peak, around 0.75–1 A output. Efficiency stays above 90 % across the full 0–3 A load range. At very light loads the IC enters pulse-skipping mode, which reduces switching losses but increases ripple slightly (~75 mV pk-pk near no-load, falling to ~30 mV above 0.5 A).

Conducted emissions sit below CISPR 32 Class B limits — the stricter of the two. Figure 7 plots input- and output-line emissions against Class A and Class B AVG/QP limits across 0.15–30 MHz under full load; both device curves stay under the Class B limits, so the module is suitable for residential as well as industrial installations. Immunity follows IEC 61000-4-2 through -4-8.

Tolerates up to -28 V DC reverse on the input without damage. An input reverse-polarity MOSFET and an input TVS diode (1SMA4751A) handle protection; an output TVS (1SMA4734A) additionally clamps output transients.

8.8 mm DIN-rail width. The datasheet lists dimensions as 8.8 × 88.4 × 58 mm (L×W×H per the spec-table header, with the feature summary calling out the 8.8 mm rail width). Footprint compatibility with the USB-DC-PD isn't stated in this datasheet — confirm in the USB-DC-PD datasheet before assuming drop-in interchangeability.
